Vista Crashes – How Do I Stop Vista Crashing Problems?

If you’re one of the intrepid souls who migrated to Vista early on, you surely would have heard about – or experienced yourself - the frequent crashes that plagued users of the new operating system. It was a concern that got a lot of media flak, consequently resulting in a lukewarm reception of Vista – as most of the targeted companies opted to stay with the more stable XP rather than expose their businesses to the Vista crashes.
Those early crashes were traced to incompatible drivers that were shipped with Vista, or programs that weren’t designed for the new OS, or some bugs in the operating system itself. It seems that hardware manufacturers were not able to provide updated drivers and the drivers included by Microsoft behaved unpredictably - some drivers didn’t work at all while others messed up the registry. OS bugs and apps problems that also caused the dreadful black screens of death (BSODs) were traced to registry problems, too. Some of the main issues were resolved when service packs and drivers were released, but up to now, there are still instances when Vista freezes or crashes for no apparent reason.
As experience have indicated registry issues, it is quite reasonable to look into the registry for causes of such failures. Hardware and software installations or removal leave footprints in the registry that accumulate over time. While some of the entries left behind are harmless by themselves, there are occasions when these unnecessary registry values interfere with normal flow of the operating system.
Window’s registry is the database where important data about the computer are found. Changes made to the system such as user and program settings are stored in the registry, and it acts as the central source of data for smooth PC operations. Thus, it is also the main component to tweak when things go wrong. Consequently, one of the first advices given by experts whenever system crashes occur – aside from installing the latest updates from Microsoft – is to have the registry cleaned. This is because there have been numerous cases wherein Vista freezes or crashes were attributed to the excess baggage being kept in the registry.
It is wise to heed experts’ advice and clean the registry of clutter – removing useless keys and values and restoring needed ones which were removed unintentionally or not. Tweaking the registry requires extensive knowledge of the PC structure and it is not a task for the uninitiated. Fortunately, there are many programs out there that do the job quite well. It is just a matter of selecting a reliable tool, preferably one that has been tested by experts.

Easiest fix is to write down the error message on the Blue Screen when it occurs.
Next, google the error, exactly as it was written. This should direct you to a Microsoft web page that gives instructions on how to correct the problem.
i had this problem with my old computer, your video card is overheating and freezing up, if you have an asus video card you should have something called smart doctor with it to slow down your video card a tiny bit to cool it down, that’s what i had to do to be able to play without freezing.

If you think you have viruses, look for Malwarebytes Anti Malware. It’s probably one of the better tools for getting rid of viruses.
As for the blue screen problem, blue screens are caused by a number of things, Vista is the worst operating system in all of computer history.
BSOD (blue screen of death) will not damage your computer, it’s just software, your computer’s hardware will be fine no matter what software goes onto it.
If you really want to help your computer, you should probably install Linux. Linux doesn’t get viruses, it’s extremely stable, and it’s FREE. Ubuntu will work just fine. You’ll need to get used to the operating system switch, but it’s not really a big deal, it’s not much different than Windows or Mac, all around the same thing.
It’s highly likely your problems are caused by Vista, but at the same time, you could have some serious hardware problems with your laptop. None of us will know since were not there…but good luck anyway.
Blue screen problem windows vista?
I have been getting this blue screen problem over and over. It started about a month ago and I have had this computer for about a month in a half. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong so I restored my computer about a week or 2 ago. I’m still getting this problem. It sais there is some kind of hardware failure or something. It does this randomly ALOT 8(! It also happens when I unplug my wireless internet receiver thingy. It is linksys. I unplug it because sometimes when it is plugged up it loses connection and it can’t find any networks. When I unplug it it works again. I’m wondering how to uninstall it and maybe that will work. I have the disk right here that is used to install it. The progam is called linksys. When I reinstall it I’m thinking maybe that will work. Here is my computer information if you need it:

Window vista blue screen problem?
I turned on my dell 1520 inspiron and as soon as the whole screen came up, a blue screen appeared. And so, i had to restart the computer. Afterwards, it said that it is going to look for a resolution with the problem:

Blue Screen a Vista Problem?
I need help with a difficult issue regarding my computer. Recently within the last six months I got a new Toshiba Laptop with 3GB of RAM and a 1.8GHz processor. But lately, I’ve been getting Blue Screen messages from Windows Vista when I open my computer to use it. This began happening to my desktop last year and I never could find the problem.
The Geek Squad guy said that I had 100′s of viruses and trojans on my desktop which was causing the blue screens on my desktop. He couldn’t find any viruses until after he did extensive tests and I’m skeptical that there were any at all because I don’t make it a practice of visiting shady or virus filled websites, just the usual college girl sites: Facebook, perezhilton, PostSecret, etc.
Anyway, I’m wondering if this is a problem being caused by Windows Vista. I meet the specs I believe for it and so did my desktop. Is it possible that this could be caused by Windows Vista? I scan my computer for viruses and stuff with AVG and it always comes back clean.
Also, I know that the blue screen is often referred to as the blue screen of death, but my computer seems fine, is it doing serious damage to it every time it happens? What can I do to help my computer? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Acer Vista computer blue screen problem?
Hey, so about two or three months ago I started having computer problems, my computer would freeze, give me a blue screen, if I was playing a game it would freeze and play the same half second of sound over and over again, and a whole bunch of other wierd crap. So I reset the computer to a earlier date and it worked just fine. Well 4 days ago I started having the problem again it freezes only 10-20 seconds after boot up, freezes before I get into the log in area, gives me a blue screen, refuses to boot up ect. When I get the blue screen it says “Bad_pool_Header” Please help me solve this, I would rathar not reset my computer to its original status because I have 3 years of pictures, documents, games, and other randoms. PLEASE HELP! any advice would be helpfull!
